Position Summary: New York City Public Schools (NYCPS ) is dedicated to creating and supporting partnerships among schools, families, and the community. As a central resource for family engagement, the Office of Family and Community Empowerment (FACE) strives to involve and inform parent leaders as essential partners in helping students achieve college and career readiness. FACE will develop and implement new strategies to strengthen the NYCPS’s efforts to engage and support public school parents and families throughout New York City.
The CCEC Election Outreach Coordinators will play a critical role in engaging with community members and building networks to promote the 2027 Community and Citywide Education Council (CCEC) Elections. We are seeking passionate, driven, and organized individuals to conduct direct outreach to families in local communities across the city. They will encourage people to run and vote through direct outreach and advocacy and help eliminate disparities in the elections by engaging communities that have typically participated less in elections. Each coordinator will collect outreach and engagement data to be used for metrics. Performs related work.
Reports to: CCEC Election Campaign Manager
Key Relationships: Family-facing staff at school, district and central level including but not limited to Superintendents, Family Leadership Coordinators, Family Support Coordinators, Parent Coordinators, parent leaders and FACE staff.

Qualifications
Minimum High school graduation or equivalent and one (1) year of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above.
Preferred
Work Schedule: Typically, 1:00 PM–8:00 PM in-office or the field; may occasionally be asked to begin work earlier in the day or later in the day to cover an event that is scheduled to run later.
Salary: $40 hourly rate
(Internal candidates who are selected for this position and who currently hold comparable or less senior positions within the DOE will not earn less than their current salary.)
